Oxford English is a new coursebook series specially designed for use in the Junior Secondary curriculum. It meets the latest requirements of the Curriculum Development Council’s Syllabus for Secondary English and prepares students for the New Senior Secondary (NSS) English language curriculum. Adopting a task-based approach, Oxford English includes the following key features:

interesting and engaging reading passages, covering a wide variety of text types and topics such as those from cross-curricular content areas
development of students' critical thinking skills, communication skills and creativity (3Cs) through engaging tasks and projects
effective grammar and vocabulary building skills taught in context
a balanced coverage of the four skills, supplemented with individual Skills Booklets
revision tasks focusing on vocabulary and grammar to help consolidate knowledge acquired in the unit
end-of-unit self-assessment enabling students to evaluate their performance and identify areas of improvement
a wide variety of language arts and non-language arts materials in the Elective sections to prepare students for the NSS English language curriculum
graded worksheets and reading passages to cater for learner diversity
