Quatermain is returning home from a bad hunting trip, and he does not want any more adventures. But then he meets Sir Henry Curtis and Captain Good, and soon the three of them are on a dangerous journey into the heart of Africa, in search of King Solomon's Mines.

They are discovered by the fierce Kukuana people and taken to see the terrible one-eyed King Twala. Soon they are fighting in a war to help the rightful King of the Kukuanas get back his throne. But can they overcome the strength of Twala and the evil witch, Gagool? Will they ever find the amazing treasures in King Solomon's Mines?

H. Rider Haggard was born in England in the middle of the last century and lived in South Africa for several years. He is famous for his exciting adventure stories which are enjoyed all over the world.
